Diarmuid qualified from renowned Shannon College of International Hotel Management in Co. Clare. Graduating in 2010, already with 4 years of hotel and restaurant experience in properties around Ireland and Europe, Diarmuid joined Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and was assigned to one of the company’s premier resorts in the Seychelles. Over the course of 4 years, spent managing various restaurants, Front Office and Recreation, Diarmuid rose to the position of Leisure Experience Manager overseeing 3 departments and managing the Guest Experiences at the resort. Diarmuid returned to Ireland in 2015 in order to form this partnership and explore business opportunities in the industry.
Diarmuid and Ciarán opened and ran the Lifeboats Café in Baltimore, enjoying great success during the summers of 2016 and 2017 in this busy, seasonal, seaside village. Ciarán and Diarmuid opened Ritas in Ranelagh, Dublin in 2018, to great success. Quickly becoming a local favourite, Ritas has regularly been named among Dublin and Ireland’s best pizzerias by websites and publications such as LovinDublin.ie and The Irish Times.
