Ciarán is from Cork city, and recently bought a house in St.Luke’s. He is qualified in Auctioneering and Property Management before embarking on a career in the Food and Beverage industry. Having earned his stripes managing a number of prominent bars in Cork city, Ciarán first venture was opening the Holy Cow bar on Hanover Street which quickly became a vibrant and extremely popular fixture on the Cork nightlife scene. After finishing up with the bar in Cork, Ciaran embarked on an intensive food training course at the prestigious Ballymaloe Cookery School in East Cork.
Armed with this new skillset, he went on to form a partnership with Diarmuid Connolly and opened the Lifeboats Café in Baltimore, enjoying great success during the summers of 2016 and 2017 in this busy, seasonal, seaside village. Ciarán and Diarmuid opened Ritas in Ranelagh, Dublin in 2018, to great success. Quickly becoming a local favourite, Ritas has regularly been named among Dublin and Ireland’s best pizzerias by websites and publications such as LovinDublin.ie and The Irish Times.
